I was looking at the McLeod website for clutches for early A's (9 1/2").......
same old part numbers. I was poking around Summit's site and found a couple of dual disc clutch kits for Early A's. (9.688") They are expensive but they will handle 800 hp. toolmanmike

part # 260804/disc & 360752/plate listed for street and strip=diaph style

part # 360050 for borg beck style, same disc as above.

These are paw #'s for mcleod 9 1/2 clutch

I contacted McLeod 6 months ago about those numbers and they said they quit making the smaller clutches. I don't know how accurate their website is.

that sux.

try southland clutch [619] 477-2105 they'll make you real nice clutch for a fair price and will ship it to your door step.

At most they might need a core, but not my forte so...?

I contacted McLeod through their forums section. Should have an answer Monday. toolman

I got mine thru Fort Wayne Clutch. They make a 10" thats a bolt in to the early flywheel, and bellhousing. Mines working great.

you can buy a 10 inch through napa, carquest, kragen and yes they bolt right on to the lil flywheel.

It's a truck clutch so ask for like a 78-82 d-100 w/10 inch.

thing is, I don't know how it would hold up to a 'built' 273.

Thanks for the application info. Toolman
