Does it matter if the fluid shows half an inch above the full line? No leaks present, no other issues.
 
I do believe that too full can cause aeration of the fluid.

Get a small dia hose and syphion out some fluid
 
Overfill is not going to do any good. Remove the cooler line, attach a rubber hose into a can or jug, and start the engine and pump,some,put.
 
Yes... get it out of there. Just take a length of 1/4" hose and stick it down the dip stick tube and the rest lower than the pan, suck and then let it siphon to where you want it.

Well in my world I would not worry about that small amount at all. Many here will disagree, It will be fine. It's not enough to be a problem.

It depends on how you check the level. Check it warm (operating temp) on a level surface, in neutral. Block the wheels so it doesn't roll away. You don't suction any out until you have properly checked the level.
