Hi, What oil pan do I need for swap in 65 Dart. This pan obviously will hit steering assembly.
Thanks in advance.

Dave

I'm not sure the pan is the problem. Do you have a V8 steering/center link?
Yes do have one but seems 4spd trans to engine bolts together closer to firewall? Dont know, just gettin input.
Thanks

318 or 360? There is a specific factory 360 pan # that works for early A but don't remember the number.

If it's a 5.2 any la 318 for cars will work. If it's a 5.9 any la 360 for cars pan will work and it must be for a cars or it will not work! New ones are available on line for as little as $60 so I would recommend going that route so you know that it'll have a warranty for any defects unlike a used one for about the same money. Good luck with your project.

My friend and I put a 94 318 magnum into a 71 demon. You need a 360 pan for a car and it'll go right in. We used a Kevko, but it doesn't matter.

If you use any car oil pan with a center sump you should have no issues.

You will have to use different motor mounts or use can modify the early A V8 motor mounts, it's not that hard.

All magnums need the 360 pan. I do not know if an ordinary car 360 pan fits in the early A's, but somebody here should be able to answer that question. It's been done a lot.
