Just disassembled my 1966 A-833 out of my 66 Barracuda. All went as the Passon book and many videos showed, so no sweat. When I got to the reverse shaft removal I had intended to use the "large C Clamp" method from the Passon book. However, my largest (8 inch) C Clamp was not large enough. Next option was the one from Ifixcarmyself on YT, who has several really goo MOPAR videos, where he used a punch to drive it out. However, that did not work for me, or at least I chickened out after a few hits with the hammer on my brass punch that was not feeling like it was making any progress.

So, looking about my shop I settled on the long reach Pony Clamp that I used to set the needle bearings in my steering box. Used the 7/16 socket that the Service Manual and Passon cited, and a 1 1/4 inch socket on the outside to press the shaft in to. It looked like this as I pressed it out.

I used some grease to hold the 7/16 in place in that orientation and it popped the shaft up into the large socket without much trouble. This is the layout over view once I got it out, without the case int he way.
