Just curious. Did Mother Mopar ever sell vinyl top car that had top painted, instead of vinyl covered. Seen it on 60's and early 70's GM. Wondered if Mopar ever did it also.

The one and only yr i went to Carlisle there was a Pink Duster with a black painted top in the rare shed. It was stated to be one of one with that color combo and as of Sunday someone had made an offer of $75,000 and didn't get it bought. That was probably 5 yrs or so ago.

I used to have a 70 Road Runner that we B5 blue with a white painted top. Also a member here that has a 70 Challenger in the same combo

Thanks for confirming my suspiscion. Have a Duster that I would like to paint top, instead of vinyl it. Wanted to make sure it was period correct.
