A-frame rechroming

Has anybody broken down the door A-frames to be rechromed? Just curious on how to go about this
 
the A frame comes out as a whole and the latch and upper pivot post come off the vent glass , if I remember correctly there is a threaded post at the bottom that is for adjusting the whole works it should have a nut on the underside of the door in a hole down there I think it is
 
dont forget the allenhead that is located behind the little hole in the upper part of the door....
