Sounds like you had a great time. I went to a small New Year's Eve party at a friend's place with four or five families. They pulled out old home movies and we watched the videos until midnight. Most of the home movies were from nearly 20 years ago. All the little kids at the party were hating it. Every one else enjoyed the 1991 Chrysler 300 National show at White Post, Virginia, and several AACA antique car shows, the Mopar Nationals, and the Chrysler shows at Carlisle from several different years. All were great home movies.
We also went in to my friend's shop out in the back yard to view his cars and those of a few of his customer's. He was nearing completion on a complete ground up restoration on a customer's numbers matching turquoise 69 4 speed Hemi GTX. behind that was another customer's 59 Vauxhall Victor sedan (a survivor), that was in for electrical work I believe. Sort of looked like a 55-56 Chevy, only taller, skinnier, shorter and uglier. Had to laugh at the little two blade fan. Can't believe the little fan could draw enough air through the radiator to cool anything. Next to the Vauxhall was a beautifull early 70's E-Type Jaguar belonging to another customer. Beside the Jag was another friend's 67 Coronet RT convertible stripped to the shell and down to bare metal undergoing a ground up restoration. My friend's own 67 and 70 GTXs, 42 Chrysler Highlander, and 61 Chrysler 300G, and 68 Dodge pickup were also there in and around the shop.
Finally, we also were celebrating the sixth anniversary of another couple in attendence. Not their wedding anniversary. It was the anniversary of their aquisition of their 69 Road Runner convertible. Six years earlier on New Years Eve, they bought the 69 vert in Richmond, Virginia, and tried to drive it from there to northern Virginia for the party, after several break downs they finally had the car towed the rest of the way and they made it in time to celebrate the new year that night years ago. The convertible had since been restored completely in that same shop out back.
All in all, a typical New Years Eve for me.
