matching original motor out of the car in storage . Put in another built 340 for driving, would it hurt the value of the car down the road (if I decide to sell it ) if I put a roller cam in the original motor ? Since the motor is out on a stand and easy to work on should I put in a roller cam , or would that lessen the value ? On one hand it would be more reliable , not having to add zinc additive , and who knows how long that will be around before it is outlawed .

This original motor will only be used when the car is for sale , leave it stock or roller ?

I'd leave it stock. Let the new owner decide what they want to do with it if and when it comes to that.

That will be easy . When and if the motor in now needs a rebuild it will get a roller . To bad I didn't think about that when I had the motor rebuilt , after 20 years of not playing with cars you take a while to catch up .

1 stock vehicle in a 1000 will be worth more then all the rest, but then again there are those cars which are modified which surpasses the stocker's value all day long. When I hear stock I think of a car that doesn't leave the garage or showroom. Who drives a vehicle without disc brakes, radial tires and listens to A M radio? I know I don't.

To each his own and if I actually had to make up my mind by another person's advice, I'd scrap everything and buy more guns

I drive the car , has radials , disk brakes and why the **** listen to the radio when I can listen to the motor sing ?
