Good evening,

I have acquired several a833's that have been sitting a long time. Several were apart and had surface rust on the internal parts. There is no deep pitting or corrosion. What method do you folks recommend for cleaning this up? Is bead blasting these parts ok, or do you recommend chemical cleaning? I went to Candian Tire the other day only to find out that evaporust is no longer available.
Thanks everyone for your input.

Bead blast is fine.
I put this one together after it sat for more than 20 years.

Whaaaat? is it an EPA (tree hugger) thing or ?
Could always use apple cider vinegar.

The Must for Rust - Rust Remover & Inhibitor

I bought this stuff at Canadian Tire. Mixed 50-50 with water, seems to work quite well in a short period of time. It does leave a slightly darker color on the metal afterwards, mostly comes off with a slight rub of a scotch brite pad. I will try to post pictures later.
