I am working on an AC system from a 73 Valiant and the 73 FSM is showing a vacuum transfer switch in the circuit but I do not see anything like that on my system. Attached is a picture taken from page 24-50 of the FSM showing this vacuum transfer switch. I have two hoses that are separate from the main connector that plugs into the control switch and I have no idea where they go. One has a white stripe and the other a green stripe. If anyone can tell me where this switch is located or provide a picture that would be awesome .

The "switch" has to be attached to the temperature control lever for the heater/ AC. Are you saying it's missing or was never a place for it? I'm not familiar with changes for these over the years. I recently bought a 74 Scamp and have not looked at it or touched it this winter. If I get time, I'll try and take a gander later this weekend.

Here look at this, from the "CTC Auto Ranch" website.................

The two separate hoses are the device you are looking for

For some reason those don't show up "same size"

the hoses connect to the switch that is probably a bolt on switch so it can be replaced separately.
