Advancing Valve Timing

-
2 degrees isn't much so I wouldn't think it would be a problem but having said that I'm not sure on a 273 and i would be asking the same question, are you looking for more torque?
Below from Comp Cams site

Advancing Retarding
Begins Intake Event Sooner Delays Intake Closing Event
Open Intake Valve Sooner Keeps Intake Valve Open Later
Builds More Low-End Torque Builds More High-RPM Power
Decrease Piston-Intake Valve Clearance Increase Piston-Intake Valve Clearance
Increase Piston-Exhaust Valve Clearance Decrease Piston-Exhaust Valve Clearance

Sorry that didn't paste right try this

Advancing
Begins Intake Event Sooner
Open Intake Valve Sooner
Builds More Low-End Torque B
Decrease Piston-Intake Valve Clearance
Increase Piston-Exhaust Valve Clearance

Retarding
Delays Intake Closing Event
Keeps Intake Valve Open Later
Builds More High-RPM Power
Increase Piston-Intake Valve Clearance
Decrease Piston-Exhaust Valve Clearance

I'm installing a new timing chain set. While I'm at this point it would be easy to do now so I guess the answer is Yes
Stock cam in a std. squeeze 273 You could probably move the cam + or - 8deg w/o worrying.........
