The car (a 1964 Plymouth Valiant Convertible) purchased by my father in 1979, spent the majority of its life under a car cover in my parents garage. My father made plans throughout the years to restore the car but things always got in the way. With the loss of my father in 2010, I promised myself that I would eventually get this done. Four years ago my uncles and I stole my mother's car from her garage. We placed a dummy car under the car cover. She was none the wiser. The past weekend I had the joy of throwing her a surprise party. I had relatives come in from out of town. It was epic. After the initial surprise I let mom settle in for a couple of hours and surprised her again with her car. I am so happy this forum exists. The advice and parts made available to me from this community were invaluable.
