from SW FLORIDA. Nice FB.
Thanks! Wow, you guys are all over it. You are the second person to reinforce my short list (first was getting rid of the bench seat). I'm all about modernizing the suspension. I will post some specs as I go through it. It does at least have factory discs in front and seems to stop well, at least on dry, straight pavement. I'll try my best to keep it between the gutters in the meantime.
Good late model shocks, sway bar & good front tires will help without breaking the budget.
I regret removing the bench with fold down arm rest from my 67 notch. I forfeited my comfort and good amount of my money to gain another little storage compartment and another ash tray in otherwise useless center console. Mine is automatic though. If it had been bench with 4 on the floor I don't think I would have changed it.
Welcome to the site, and thanks for the compliments. Enjoy the car and fix it up to your tastes as you go, and enjoy it. I measure my fun in smiles per gallon......
Nice looking car!
Welcome from Upstate NY. Nice story and a nice fish. If I ever finish this car, my next one will be a 4 speed!
aboard! Nice first classic car choice!
Welcome, awesome looking ride! I really think you made the right choice, get your cake and eat it too! Enjoy it while you decide what you want to address first to make it what you want. Far too often people get overwhelmed in big projects and lose interest.
Bench seat rules!
welcome from the lakeshore yes sir they do nothing like a good sharp right hand turn with the missus on the front bench
Welcome. Sweet Barracuda! I love those fastbacks....
