I am looking for an aluminum or stainless aftermarket gas tank for my duster. I am going to EFI soon,so I want a baffled tank with a sump and efi pump in it. anyone know of anybody making any?

Use a late 60's mustang tank
I plan to do this eventually to my car
You can get them in aluminum with baffles and have a higher capacity than factory
The spare tire well is would be deleted, but useless unless running factory wheel and tire setup anyway

Do a web search for Tanks Inc., they make a tank already setup for EFI.

I installed a 69' mustang tank in my duster. I had a hole from the fuel cell and a 20 gallon fit perfect after a little trimming. I had a friend weld up a 10an with a pickup tube inside and capped off the filler and installed a new one in the back of the tank hooked up to the stock fill location. Came out nice. And cheaper than a $500-600 custom tank.

Why not the Aeromotive Phantom system and a new stock tank? That's my plan for an EFI fuel system. It's simple enough, that's for sure.

Ricks hot rod makes some super slick stainless tanks ready to bolt right in just do a quick google search and email them with wjat you are wanting. I went this route with my challenger swapped to new hemi and sourced a tank from them super nice

That's my future plan too. I have efi w/ a factory tank modified sender and an external fuel pump. It works well, but the aftermarket senders are so inaccurate.

I just bought the 340 lph version on Amazon for 429.99.

    http://www.amazon.com/Aeromotive-18688-Phantom-Fuel-System/dp/B00A4B57I0

Looks nice actually. I'm pretty sure there won't be any starvation problems so long as there is at least a little bit (a gallon or so) of gas in the tank.

Look up vapor works. They sell either a fuel tank or the to setup(can't remember which) but if they don't they have a company that makes a stainless steel baffled tank with their EFI setup (which use oem EFI parts).

I talked to the owner Jeff the other day. I am going to go with them. the price is considerably lower than rick's or anybody else. and it has a drain in the bottom if you have to drop the tank. he quoted me $925 to my door! pump and all. rick's was $1750! WTF? even a competitor that put an efi in a new stock tank was $875! so for $50 more I get a better fabbed, baffled, boltin efi tank! no brainer there!

Tanks Inc is releasing an EFI tanks with two top pick up locations that are recessed. I think it $260 for the tank only and another $220 for a pickup and pump assembly. I don't think the tank is aluminum though.

    Price and pick updated below.

My first thought when I read the title of this thread was HotRod City Garage. Seems like other people have used them too. Here's their web address if anyone needs it.

    http://www.hotrodcitygarage.com/

I've seen their tanks up close and personal at the Pomona, CA Swapmeet (terrible place to go for MOPAR parts, there aren't any). They're pretty nice with baffles.
