Anyone able to confirm if there are any sources for a full window replacement on a 1968 Barracuda Convertible, and/or if the ones listed on Classic Industries and other sites for the Fastback model will work?

Also, what is with the tinted (green tint) vs standard versions?

I have never seen aftermarket Convert Quarter glass.

I needed a drivers side rear quarter dart convert glass. I ended up finding a clear one and will have it tinted to match the other glass

The windshield and vent glasses are the same as the coupe and fastback models (and some other models as well) The door glass and quarter glass are '67-9 Dart and Barracuda convertible only. A/c cars came standard with tinted glass, and non-A/c cars came standard with clear glass. They could be special ordered either way however. The fender tag and build sheet will show the glass code the car came with.

If it is flat you can get it made at a local glass shop. You can't the the factory blue/green AC tinted color but for clear take examples of the old and they will cut and have it tempered.

When I restored my convertible I went to a local glass shop and they checked what was available. They said all the glass was available in green tint, so I ordered it all and the glass came in a week later and to my surprise and the glass shop was original Chrysler glass. Quarter glass came with the chrome on the front and the mechanism attached on the bottom. So I got greedy and asked if they had any more but my set I bought was the last set available from that supplier. If you are looking for glass I am sure I have the original glass that was in the car and it was green tint, if your interested in the glass I’ll see if I can dig it out.

I was under the same opinion. Factory A/C car would have tinted glass as standard equipment but apparently not. Still an upcharge but available. I came into possession of a factory Air 340 auto 69 swinger. The build sheet and fender data tag both show the A/C option but don't show tinted glass and the car has regular clear glass. I thought something was wrong but apparently not according to other mopar enthusiasts. Just my 2 cents

I definitely agree that that the quarter windows are unique to the 67-69 Dart and Barracuda convertibles but I believe that the door glass seems to be the same as a 67-72 Dart 2 door hardtop. A friend of mine had misplaced his door glass so I compared some extra glass from some 2 door hardtop Darts to my convertible glass which is out of the doors so we could put them up against each other and they sure seem to match exactly. I don't see any difference that I can tell that makes me think they are different. The height, the length, the curvature , the holes in the glass to attach the guides, everything seems identical. Maybe I'm missing something but the seem to be the same. Anybody got any thoughts or input?

cudamark, I went out this morning and carefully lined up all the drilled holes in the glass and now see what you mean by the slight curvature difference. Lining up the tops of the glass they appear identical. Making sure the holes are perfectly aligned changes everything. Don't know if there is a creative way to make the 2DR hardtop glass work ( i.e. could somehow a place that specializes in industrial glass modify that profile, maybe do an operation like that? ). Don't know, just throwing out an idea. Now I am hyper aware that if the side glass on an A body gets broken, you are screwed!

Not exactly screwed. I would check at your local glass shop and see what they may have at there suppliers. I found a complete set of tinted glass for my convertible and usually there is used glass around too.

I know we’ve had this discussion before. But when I restored my 67 Cuda Convertible I checked with a local shop in our town for glass, Never expecting anything but a week later Glass shop phoned and had all new tinted glass with the Chrysler insignia on the glass and the Chrome trim and mechanism on the bottom of the quarter windows. So you really never know if you don’t ask!!!
