Does anyone have a source for these?

Could you o ring the head and run a dead soft copper head gasket? $250 for a HEAD GASKET is hard to swallow but if you got one of probably 50 running AL slants left today maybe its not an issue.

Man I remember when I was about 14 (1978) taking a sledge hammer to an aluminum block slant 6 to bust the cylinder sleeves out of it for SCRAP!!! after removing the sleeves I picked the block up myself and loaded it in the truck. Probably got about $5 out of the damn thing!!!

Aluminum blocks are open deck. No room to o-ring. If you want to run an Aluminum block, you will basically have no choice but to ante up for one of the expensive gaskets. FYI, I believe the ones available at .org are reusable.
jus sayin...

I found a source for the original gaskets.
