    Hello!

I took look around the forum and this place seems to be filled with really smart and good folks. I am really glad I found this place!

My car is a '73 Dart Sport, all original with a 318, auto on the column, 140k miles. This was my first car from way back when I was in high school (well, not that far back) and I am really attached to it.

I added some dual exhaust with Flowmasters and some 15" Rally wheels... otherwise its pretty much stock. I am looking to swap out the engine and trans next spring for a hotter small block.

Yes, that is my Dart. I don't know of the folks in The Hartford area (I am close to Danbury) but there is Mopar event at the track in Lebanon Valley, NY on Sat. I am going to go (but not in the Dart) - seems like a great way to have some fun and meet some folks.

Here is a link .... down the page it talks about the Mopar event.

Thanks for the tip, koryliss! I haven't been to Lebanon Valley since last summer.. I'm going to try to get over there to check that out! Are any of you guys going to run your cars?

GTXperience (cool name, BTW!), I don't personally own a GTX but there has been a '67 GTX in my family for my whole life... its my father's car, 440 4bbl... it has been sitting for years now but its all solid and all there...just needs some paint and TLC. One of these days He'll get it back on the road. :) Its easily my favorite car of all time... I love the lines of the '67.
    What's your GTX like?

mopgo, you're not too far away! Small world! Its awesome to see so many CT folks here.

A few years back, I met a nice guy in Middletown who also had a 1973 Dart Sport... his was a blue 340... gorgeous car. I don't suppose anyone knows this guy?

Thanks to everyone for the welcome. I am really glad I stumbled onto this site!!

For the past few years, I have been messing around with Miatas... I have a 1997 (with just suspension mods) that serves as my faithful daily driver and a 2000 with a turbo kit (very fast, very fun) that was my fair weather machine...because of these "distractions", my Dart has been somewhat neglected over the past few years. :(

No longer... the Dart is too nice of a car to let sit. I will almost certainly sell the turbo car in the spring to free up some capital for the crate engine... but its going to happen one way or the other!
