The power outlet port on dash of our 2000 Dak R/T has no power to it. But
the cig. lighter works. My question; Is there a fuse on the back of the dash
board fuse block? I've checked all the fuse's and all are good. The only
manual I have for it is a cheap Haynes one. Wiring dia's are good for poop.
Any help would be great. Thanks guys. :notworth:

Check the fuse and relay box under the hood. There is also a fuse in that circuit located in there. It may be labled rear window defrost. Its a 20 amp fuse. Good luck!

Redneck solution....
run a hot lead from lighter to back of power outlet.

The power outlet gets current from 20A fuse B in the fuse panel (inside the truck) which in turn gets current from 20A fuse no. 4 in the Power Distribution Center (under hood.) Fuse no. 4 in the PDC also feeds the rear defogger. Fuse B only feeds the power outlet and nothing else. Don't forget to check the ground side of the circuit as well.
