Any Eagle Hemi Carb Guys ?

Any Eagle Gen 3 Hemi guys running a carb on here ? Trying to decide if I want to change plans and switch to a Holley single plane intake and run a carb. Looking at a Blackbird Performance Mach 1 camshaft and cam phaser gear. This is going to be street / strip style hot rod anyway. 727 reverse manual valve body - manual brakes and steering - no a.c. Trying to keep weight down within reason, will still have a full interior.

Using the Blackbird package would be the way to go. For a short time, I did a 5.7 Eagle with 6.4 cam and carb. Although it ran ok, it wasn't nearly as fast as the early 5.7 with 6.1 cam and Eagle heads.

Agree. All of Blackbird’s Race Spec engines come standard with carburetors. You’d gain a little torque with the factory EFI manifold, but gain a little simplicity with a carburetor.
