I installed the ProCar Pro-90 style buckets in the Dart a few years ago. They're great seats; they look good and they're very comfortable. But they don't come close to matching the rear and I've grown tired of looking at the mismatch.
ProCar sells a limited inventory of matching upholstery, precut and pre formed, for GM A and F bodies, Novas, and 65-66 Mustangs. No Mopars. I measured the Dart cushions, and the only model that will come close is the 68-69 GM A body set, and its about 2 1/2" wider than the Dart. The Camaro/Firebird, Nova, and Mustangs are too narrow.
Has anyone matched their ProCar seats, or found upholstery that's a close match?

This pic shows a glimpse of the rear seat. It's a light grey velour with black accents. Hideous compared to the front.

I've seen these seats in a 67 Barracuda and didn't even notice they weren't the matching material to the rear seats.
I took pics but cannot find.

Below is a pic a member posted here of their car, iirc. Not the greatest pic, but I cropped it.

Black Mopar rear seats look very close.

The pic I posted was a Scamp or Dart Swinger, iirc.
Apologies for any confusion.

No apology needed. Looking in the Legendary catalog, the 67-68 Barracuda and 71 Dart upholsteries are very similar to the ProCar.

Yes, I’ve done it! I bought the matching vinyl direct from Scat and had a local motor trimmer replicate the front seat pattern into the rear seat covers. Photos below FYI, hope this helps.

You can call Scat too. They have a couple guys that that are worth a ****. Either way, someone will answer the phone.
Called Scat and talked to Thomas. Ordered 3 yards of material; its currently on BO. But they don't charge until the order ships. Thank you everyone for your help.

I had my upholstery guy match the back seat in my falcon to the pro car buckets. He did a fantastic job, the second time. Lmao I made him redo it when the lines didn’t match up and I couldn’t stand it. But in the end it turned out nice.

Might've taken 2x, but they good now. Seeing your car and Cal's, covering the back seat with the Scat upholstery is the way to go.

I agree. But mine wasn’t the scat upholstery. Just go to an upholstery shop and have em make covers. Any competent shop can do it and you won’t pay scat prices for their upholstery.

I had assumed that the Scat upholstery pattern was unique to them. There are several well known auto/marine upholstery shops in the area that I can drive the Dart to.

Depending on your plans and urgency.... Scat is just about 1 hour west Fall Fling in Oxnard if you wanted to pick up in person. Or 40 minute north west of Malibu up PCH. Both ways out of town without too much traffic.

I have wanted to have the rear seats in my Charger recovered to match the front. I have seats from a Neon SRT 4 for their light weight and the ability to hold me in place when cornering.

These look nothing like stock 1970 seats but I valued comfort and composure over factory correctness. These are fabric and vinyl.
I went so far as looking for a supplier to match the front upholstery, I got actual codes for the material but since they are over 20 years old, finding a roll of it wasn't easy. If I had a contact with a Dodge upholstery supplier wherever the original seats were made, I might be able to get somewhere.
I was going to take another Charger seat and recover it....

The black Sharpie lines represent where I was going to have my upholstery guy add bolstering padding so the rear seat passengers would be held in place like they are in the front seats.
For me, this is a back burner project that I think about but have yet to go any further. It would be nice to have all the seats match.

The trip up to Hot August Nights is what inspired me to start looking around. I saw a few cars with the ProCar 90 buckets and matching rear seats.

Great advice. Had a local upholstery shop match the buckets. Scat wanted $55/yd; the shop charged $24/yd.
Got them back today and I'm very happy with how they look. You're seeing a reflection, not ripples in the material. Now I have to restore the seatbelts.

Those look great. But I may be biased because they look exactly like mine. Only in a different color. Nice work.

Nice work. How do they smell? New upholstery makes a car smell great!
