Anyone running a MOD MAN intake.......

-
Saw a guy run one on the dyno once. Made 490hp with a 340. Took the ModMan off and replaced it with an Edelbrock Victor, made 510hp. Take a look at it, short runners, big plenum, reminds me of an old Weiand Drag Star. It has a fancy appearance, but if you want to make power, go with something else. Or, put a huffer on it.

LOL, a Huffer...sounds great! No doubt.

I think that intakes short runners could be lengthen'd a bit. Maybe even a center wall divider. Like a low level tunnel ram.

I think it depends on how well the intake matches the combo. Looking at them, I'd say most engines will not work well with them. But, a big inch, higher rpm package might benefit from the ability to work inside the plenum. At least the STRs looked cool. Mod Man just looks hokey...lol.
