AEM Electronics 50-1009 AEM Electronics High-Flow External Electric Fuel Pumps | Summit Racing i'm looking for a 400lph inline pump that wont break the bank . Any reviews on this pump . thanks .
that's all good but it's only 190 lph i'm looking for a 400lph im running a 255 lph walbro 392 now i may just double them up .
This one is 380 LPH. Is that not close enough? Carter P4601HP Carter Universal Rotary Vane Electric Fuel Pumps | Summit Racing
I ran one of those for awhile until it died after 6 months 90 miles from home. Noisy little mother too, even rubber mounted.
First time in 45+ yrs I have heard of a Carter elec pump failing. Without more info, the cause of the failure may not be the fault of the pump. A pump inlet blocked with debris would see no fuel reach the pump & burn it out.
Yea I was out of town 90 miles from home when the car hiccuped a bit and a glance at my AFR gauge showed 22/1 for a couple of seconds then recovered. It did the same thing 3-4 times as I was headed to the car show I was going to. Once there I walked over a block to a place and bought a new Holley pump to toss in the trunk in case I needed it on the way home. No problems driving home, but I obviously couldn’t trust it after that. The fuel system was absolutely clean as was the filter that came with the pump. It was mounted as recommended with a relay to power it so it had a good 12v supply as well. My fuel supply system is 3/8 up and a metered 3/8 return, so the pump wasn’t under any particular stress from dead heading either. (Not that it should matter to a rotary vane pump) Not a single glitch after replacing it with the Holley pump.
yes 380 lph is close enough but i'm looking for a high pressure pump i should of mentioned that earlier .
I just got a basic 38 gallon hr. Mighty Mite. Afterwards I took it out And pinned the throttle on a long straight while keeping an eye on the afr. It stayed normal and steady, so I figure I don’t really need more than that. Side note: 140 mph according to the gps. Now the armchair racers can bitch because I didn’t get a 300 dollar pump. (That by the way would also probably also die in some town away from home) LOL
Just going to ask if you are looking for efi/ hi press or what Walbro seems to have a fair reputation, I cannot speak from long experience
No experience yet but I have two of those on my build. Have primed it and its kinda loud, even mounted in a isolator clamp type, might add some rubber between the double mount and the holder.
