Anyone ever use the screw on type of metal canister fuel filter?

Yes, but the type with AN threads that you can clean.
I have had good luck with them.

Mine is a slant six does anyone know of a metal canister type that would thread on to brake line / fuel line fitting s? This car will see the track only a couple of times a year, but the local track is tough on 12 inches of rubber line front to back.

Thanks alot! I'll go down to NAPA tomorrow. Looks pretty big description says 4 1/2 x 2 3/4" .

I went to Napa today and they show me the 23319 , it has metric threads did you get an adapter or make a custom line with different fittings?

Thanks

The guy said he could get me the fittings. I think Im just gonna cut the flair off one end and use the new fitting and flair the end again.

I use an Earls sintered Bronze filter that you can unscrew and replace the internal element on. Seems to work well.

I looked at the Napa 23319 and me and the parts guy tried a fitting and looked it up in his book it takes a 14mm fitting. Is the 5/16 for the carb end and fuel pump?
