I need to apologize to a few members here. I always try to be a man of my word but lately things have become real tough. I responded to a couple guys want ads and promised things I couldn't deliver. Mainly because my low back has given completely out and I just can't hack the pain anymore so I am getting it operated on in 3 weeks. I have sent PM's regarding my inability to see the deals through and see the guys have been online but have not responded to me so I assume I made them mad. Again, I'm very sorry it worked out this way. I never meant it to be this way. I have also spoke sharp to a couple guys lately and apologize for that. The more Vicodin I have to take for pain the crabbier I get. Hopefully the surgery goes well and in a few months I'll be back up to snuff and won't be promising things I don't deliver.
 
Pain killers are evil little things. Good luck with the surgery......
 
My father-in-law has been cut on twice and still lives in constant pain. The pain meds turn him into someone even he doesn't like. Best of luck with the surgery.

Yep. But their the only way I can even get around at all now. Can't wait to get off of them.

Man that sucks. I had neck surgery (C6 discectomy) last Oct. for a herniated disc and it's doing a bunch better. Got the same surgeon again so hopefully the low back will do as good. Yes pain meds sure do change a person. Not for the good either. Some days the pain is so intense I have to take 5 or 6 Vicodin (the heavy duty ones) and I hate how I act when that happens.

Sorry to hear about your back Fishy.

Most people are pretty understanding about stuff like this, but for those who aren't or can't wait for parts etc, you might consider refunding any payment. If a few months down the road after your surgery if you're up to it and they still need the parts, you can come to an arrangement. Just a thought.

Take it easy, you're back is definitely something you don't want to rush.
 
Tracy, I have dealt with you before and spoken with you on the phone and I know what a top notch person you are. We all do. Don't sweat the little things and get yourself taken care of. Keep us posted on the surgery date. Already prayin for you here brother.
 
Good luck to you on the surgery.

My lower back has been in complete agony for over a year now. I keep hoping it will get batter but it hasn't. One of these days I'll get off my stubborn butt and see what the quack.... errr..... doc says. I was hoping it was just my worn out bed causing the pain. I even bought a new Serta mattress and box-spring last week $$$$. It was delivered on Thursday and I was feeling better, until Saturday when I was outside and turned the wrong way. Felt like something ripped straight up my back. Back to being a very grumpy, miserable person once again.

I feel your pain and good luck again. I'm sure those people will understand your situation.

I've followed your posts on here, every since becoming a memeber. Always ready to help with advice, and your knowledge goes a long way. Anyone not understanding a health issue,does not deserve an apology. Get better soon, and get back at it. Best wishes your way.

I agree with the statement above by 73red-duster.

Back problems suck! I messed mine up in an accident in 1983.
Never had to have surgery thank god, but it still gets me good every once and awhile.

I hope the surgery helps your back. You are a good guy. At least you tried to contact them and let them know what's up. Some people wouldn't have done that and just let them hang.
 
Thanks everyone. Appreciate the words of kindness and prayers. I guess what bothers me most is promising to do something then not delivering. I'm sure the one deal I promised but couldn't follow through on put the guy in a bind.

Sorry to hear you others are having back issues too. I went as long as I could and the last 6 months to a year has not been fun or productive. My suggestion is if you have a problem get it checked out to see if there is anything easy that can be done. Mine started giving me trouble over 10 yrs. ago but I saw a back specialist that gave me some stretching exercises to do every morning and it helped a bunch for a long time but now it's to the point where anything I do makes it worse. I even bought a Sleep Number bed thinking my mattress was part of the problem but even the new bed didn't help much.
 
Do those sleep number beds really help with back pain?
 
Having back problems is like having a toothache that never goes away.Some days it's tolerable while most days the pain is very intense.Forget what it's like not to be in a lot of pain.Been 39 years since I was crushed by a big trk.GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR SURGERY!!!!!! Hope everything works out well.
 
I wish you luck with your surgery I know just what you are going through I have had lower back and neck surgery twice and have two plates and a bunch of screws. I will tell you what my doctor told me you will always have a bad back the surgery is to relieve the pain not cure your back.
