auto to 4 speed conversion

Does anyone know how to position the 4 speed tunnel hump to cut the metal out so I can weld the new hump in , It doesn't lay flat so I can see where to attach it with the metal still in place , any diagrams or templates available Thanks

Install the shifter and handle and that will give you a good idea of location.

Here is a few pics from my 69 Barracuda. The hump went roughly 1/2” from front pan seam and conformed to existing hump.

Thanks for the pictures, un-fortunately it's all torn down almost ready to sandblast so I can't do that but I think I can get it placed from what you gave

The ones that I have done the hump basically placed itself. It was obvious. That was both with an original factory hump that I removed and with an aftermarket hump.
