Good morning! For those of you who have done the B&M Quicksilver in the factory console, did you start with a plain ol' quicksilver or did you order B&Ms console mount version. Trying to figure out which option is the way to go.

I used the standard B&M quicksilver one. My car didn't have a console, so I bought a junk one and put a piece of aluminum on it for the top plate. The shifter hole is in the same one as stock, but I don't know if the console is in the correct location, I just mounted it where everything fit and felt comfortable.

It's this one with a t-hande, I needed one with a button for my line lock.

I love the sop of that thing. And thanks, that's what I needed to know. Previous owner pulled the console and cut the brackets out to put in a Starshifter (kind of lame), so Ill position the shifter and then place the console based on that. Last question: Running an after market shifter, I imagine I'll be fine with the front (U -shape) bracket and the long rear bracket. Any need for the center (attached to the shifter) bracket?

Edit: Not knocking the Starshifter for those that like them, but it doesn't really work with a RMVB and who pulls a console to put one in?!

I cant help you with the brackets, I didnt use the factory ones. But I just have it attached in the front and the very back and it seems fine. I did have to shim the shifter up about an inch off the tunnel to get the stick high enough to not hit the opening when all the way forward or rearward.

I didn’t use the quicksilver but the Pro-Matic 2 but I did only use the front and rear brackets and bought them from AMD. The shifter works awesome and the line lock was mounted into the factory console as well.
