    Hi all

I have some Hooker fenderwell headers in my 1968 Cuda

I do not like how close the headers are to the master cylinder and the tire rub issues, I plan to convert this car from a race car to a street car.

So far I have found that the master cylinder was cooked from the heat and the brake lines filled with dried brake fluid

I seen some TTI shorty headers on line and they looked fantastic

Just wondering if anyone has used these on the cars

    Hi Cudaguy,

I am using TTI Shorties with my 360 Magnum. Great choice
in my opinion. Clearance is great and allows me to really tuck my exhaust system up under the car , no collectors under the vehicle limiting ground clearance with my 4-speed. Not a significant power loss using on the street. So nice to be able to do simple things like change a sparkplug without mangling your hands!

      Thanks very much Cudaguy!

It came together with the usual f#@k-ups, mostly by the owner (ME !) and the usual supplier difficulties but it is now finished and I'm really happy with the results!

Can't disagree with that famous bob! I'm willing to bet , however, that TTI has one of the best solutions for headers for that combo. As well, the shorties will provide the extra ground clearance when used with the 4-speed although at the expense of a little power/torque. This is why I used them as I didn't want the collectors dropped below the framerails.

My TTi 1 3/4 long tubes barely hang below the frame rails. Mine is a 400 block. The 440 might set them slightly higher?

Looks great with the auto trans! Manual drops the header on the drivers side to clear shift rods.
