alright im ready to get my 8 3/4 in my valiant in the next couple of weeks so i've got a few questions.
and yes the first one is what angle should i weld my spring perches at for a daily driver with two driver side ss springs and what is the angle relative to (horizontal or engine and tranny angle)?
also any one know drive shaft length for my set up 904 and 8 3/4 ?

Drive shaft length depends on what tranny you are using.

I would say 3-5* for a street car, pinion nose down from verticle.

All factory A-body 8 3/4 rears have the perches welded on 95 degrees from the flat face where the pumpkin bolts to. That means the pinion angle is 5 degrees up in relation to the perch flat.

is that 3-5 down from vertical on the springs or with the perches level?

That 5* is how the factory did it.

I never put them back on at that point because the pinion angle is usually insufficient. Best to put the rear in the car at ride height, set pinion angle, tack, remove and finish weld.

If you want to do it like factory, flip rear upside down, point pinion 5* down from level, put perches on housing level. Flip it over when done and it will be set at 5* up from perch face.
