Hope it works out that you can get that far done in a winter. Mine was in great shape and took me almost 2 years to put back on the road.

Rough is a relative term!
I will drag home a project that my wife thinks is a total wreck and then after some months work and I perform my "magi" she is totally amazed....each and every time. I just tell her, you are seeing it at its very worse when when first get it!
