Driver side exhaust manifold for my 318 seems to lacking sufficient clearance to attach to my 5.9 Magnum. As far as I knew, there should be no geometric difference between the magnum and the LA motor...do I need to pull the steering column? Or do I just suck?

Thanks for any words of encouragement or harsh truth.

Don't pull the column! take the nut off the bottom of the biscuit mount on that side, put a wood block under your oil pan and slowly jack up the engine. The engine will rise and rotate away from the column until you can get the head pipe mount past the column. Reverse process when the manifold is in place. Lots easier
