Bell housing casting numbers?

I just aquired a bell housing, #2899104 12/10/68. Can anyone tell me from the casting #s if this fits a big or small block, or how I can tell by looking. Thanks, Warren

Truck bells only take a NP 435 truck transmission. They won't work with A-833 4 speed normally used in cars. What kind of bellhousing are you looking for. I might have one to trade.
