I couldn't let this fabulous cause pass by without getting involved somehow. I'm adding a little something to Memike's and Catsncuda's auctions to help our dear friends, David and Mary, during a tough time in their lives.

Bid to Win #5 is for a Fifty Dollar ($50) Gift Certificate from my powder coating shop. As with the other auctions going on right now, all proceeds will be donated to David and Mary when the auction closes on January 4, 2009. (Please follow the payment instructions laid out previously in Memike's other "Bid to Win" posts.)

If bidding exceeds fifty dollars, I will honor the full amount bid on my Gift Certificate informally even though a $50 face value will be printed on it. I'll mail it out directly to the winning bidder at the close of the auction; it will be good until July 4, 2009.

Who will start off the bidding at five bucks???

Ya see folks, this is how you do it. You go away for a while and Daredevil will head for the frig and get him a beer then pass out on the couch and forget all about this. That's when i sneek back in and bid $85 on Leannas coating. Now isn't this easy.

Holy cow! In less than ten hours you guys blew away the face value on the gift certificate so well it's almost doubled. WOW!!! Can't wait to see what it's up to on January 4.

<< sittin back to watch the Small Block vs. Daredevil bidding war and :-Ding my azz off.

Ohhhhhhhh, sure. What the hell. It won't be a formal 8x10 glossy or anything suitable for publication, but I can probably accommodate that request. LOL
 
I've still got a bunch of stuff to get powder coated - I'll jump it up a bit - $110.
