What size tires you guys got under your verts? Just bought 15x7 with3.75 b.s. and was wanting a 235 60 15 or a 245 60 15 but car is in paint. Anyone have a similar set up?

I've got 225/60 15 on 15x7 wheels in the front, and 245/60 15 on 15x8 in the back, and they fit and turn just fine.

There are 32 pages of wheel and tire combinations you can look through right here Post your wheel and tire combos.

If you’d like some specific advice, we’re going to need what CAR you have, because Dart’s and Barracuda’s have different wheel houses, what rear axle you have, because 7.25’s and 8 3/4’s are different widths, and whether or not you’re still running SBP axles and brakes or if you’ve converted to BBP, because that makes a difference too.

You need to change that to 4.25" backspacing.

Is the rear low or high?

With a low rear on my 68 Dart conv, I was pretty maxed at 245/60/15 in 15x7 with 4.25 backspacing with small bolt pattern. I have orignal quarter panels on the car too.

Large bolt axle widen the rear 1/8" or so.

It's a 68 Dart stock A body 8.75, I have searched the tire wheel section but don't see any combos on verts and the wheel housing is much different on them, reason I posted here.

1968 Barracuda convertible with 275-60/15's Z-rated(186mph) tires on the rear and 215/60-15's V-rated(149mph) on the front. BBP hubs.

Are the inners different up top front for conv top mechanism?

This outers are the same as 2 dr hardtop.

These picture are of my 68 Dart conv with orignal quarters. Sits low in back.

245/60/15 BFG TA, 15x7 with 4.25" backspacing with small bolt pattern axles.

Top is flat for top mechanism but my outter wheel housing are different than the two hardtops at the house. The come staight down to the wheel lip, my vert has a step outward to allow it to meet the wheel lip

A step outward to meet the wheel well like this?

What year and model are your two hardtops?

I run 7inch weld drag lites

rear 4in offset 255-60-15 MT drag radials. 2 DHT wouldn’t be any different to convertible

The h.t. has a step but even with the lip, vert isn't here but I thought it's step was in more from the lip and wouldn't allow as much clearance. So needless to say with a couple of the combos the 3.75 b.s. with a 235 60 15 should be fine. Thanks for the input

How do you figure? The fender edge "lip" where they will rub first is in the exact same place, sedan, coupe, hardtop, or convertible. You'll be lucky if a 225/60 tire doesn't rub there, with them sticking out so far.
