What's biggest tires you can fit in a stock 67-69 wheel tub??? Without the spring relocated or minitubbed. Can you guys post pictures of your wheel/tire setup in stock tubs???

Will 275/60s fit, or are 255/60s the max???

I have 255/60/15 on mine and they are very tight on the fender side and I have the offset shackles. Don't think you would fit them on a stock set up

had a 245-60-14 on my 67, that was the widdest tire i could get in there. had to trim the outer wheel lip about 1/4" and had about 3/4 inch to the leaf springs. had them on a 14x6 crager.

I had 275/60s on my dart BFG drag radial. Its super tight and required a custom wheel by Bogart. I had a 1/4 inch on either side with the lip rolled flat. When it was at stock height it only rubbed with 2 250# guys in it and an extreme driveway turn. And even then it only rubbed the inside wheel tub which didnt damage the tire at all. I also ran M/T ET streets on it 28x11.5. Unfortunately I do have any good digital pics of it sitting still.

235/60/15 will fit perfectly on a 15 x 7 rim w/4.25" b/s.

245/60/15 might fit w/the correct b/s and rollin the wheel lip.

A 255/60/15 will not fit unless you install the offset kit or relocate the springs.

BTW, the 70 and up Darts wheel opening is different from the 67-69. A 255 tire will fit the 70 and up Darts, not a 67-69.

Whats included in the offset kit??? Does it offset the front, or just the back swing shackle??

Old School Pics look great!

I'm running 255/60/15's drag radials on the back of my 68 Dart mounted on 15x7 with 4.5" backspaceing. No suspension or fender lip mods at all.

255/60x15 is what i have on my stock Dart. About a half inch on both sides and yes they do rub under certain conditions but not bad.

I do have SS springs on mine with no rubbing.

I also was thinking of going to 255-60-15 and having Stockton building wheels .. SBP on 15 inch ..
I know have 245-60-14 on Stockton 14 inch sbp wheels ...
Good question MOPOWERS... but is it worth going from 14 sbp to 15 sbp .. is there that much difference in height ?

The reason I'm switching to 15s is because I'm swapping the 7 1/4 to a LBP 8 3/4 and doing the LBP disc swap up front.

I run 255/60/15 on 15" weld draglites with 4.5 bs and is very close but centered. Can't get a finger between fenderlip on outside or spring on inside. This is on the 67 GTS with 8 3/4", Joe

Do your homework, measure carefully, and get custom backspacing, and 275-60/15's on 7 inch rims is easy. NO other mods are needed.

I see what you're saying, but custom BS is out of the question. I'm on a budget and have already decided to go with the wheels I've already got- 15 x 7 steelies.

Mine is not low budget, it's "no" budget!!!

I have a Ferd Versaille disc brake axle, so the wheel offset is different than stock, but I rebuilt the springs using the original leaves and a spring pack from a junker Duster. I used (except for just one main) the longest leaves out of the two spring packs.

Wheels are Cherokee before they went to the "new" bolt pattern, tires are 225x75x15, and you couldn't get much taller in there. They all but hit the front of the bodywork, and DO rub on some very hard right turns

Thanks for the input!!! Is the rear stock length???

Do the tires rub at all???

No rubbing at all with a stock length 8 3/4 with yukon lbp axles and green bearings. But I do have SS springs on it. 002 and 003 springs
