Not sure how to respond to that. Obviously need the fab done before paint and body work. The car will be going to Bonneville. The scoop is less than ideal for all out speed, but its better than an open engine in the air.

Please share your insight on how to make it better and less confused

That thing is bad-***! If that's a **** box, I wanna buy a few of em

Will the scoop be taking in air as we see it from the front and the rest is for aero?
For the first trip out, it will have the forward facing opening as seen, likely will have the actual inlet smaller. The rest is just air management, yes. It can be 11" high and if forward facing, then it can extend to within 1/2" of windshield

Look I realize it’s just mocked up, it struck me funny that it looks like the build is going in a few different directions. I’m sure once the old primer and bodywork is removed it will look better.

So, as for being just mocked up. Disclaimer. Chassis, suspension, drivetrain are all done and in. Chassis and interior are all painted. Only mock up is the hood scoop. The rest is getting refined and finished as I can health wise. Also remember, this is being raced on the most corrosive place on earth, it may get painted with a roller and/or brushes lol

This is where I started 4 years ago. Now full tube chassis, fully caged and designed as I believe to be good for what I intend to attempt to do

Good thing you are thin. My fat arse wouldn't fit between the tunnel and the door bars.
It is "cozy'. I made the tunnel wider than I should have, but it is integrated into the frame and cage. Has double frame rails under driver and passenger seats as well.

Well, back from doctors appt. Preop physical. I am cleared for the surgery on the right side. Dec 17 is the day.

Has getting the left side done helped?
It is hard to say at this time. It is still a long ways from healed up. BUT the risk of blood clots is removed. That is one of the biggest reasons for the right side being repaired before I know 100%. I truly believe it will be really good, with time
