HELP!!! I put a new Borgeson Steering Box in my 71 Valiant. It has had some play and needs adjusted. Everything under the car is new and there is definitely play in the box. My problem is that with the retaining nut loose, I can not turn the adjuster screw, it simply will not turn. I've got the screw slot pretty ugly trying. I called Borgeson and they said I would have to send it in but my 360 with headers is making that job a nightmare. I do not want to pull the box. I think I can jack up the engine and get some clearance, but I can not find a schematic of how the adjuster screw is attached to the sector shaft. Does anyone know if it like the original Mopar box where I can pull it out then slide it off the sector shaft.

Did you speak to Pete Bergman? He's the Mopar and Borgeson man to get in touch with. I've put in two boxes of their's and no problems, 1 7 years ago and another about 1 year ago.
