-40 to -50 wind chill for the next couple of days. Then the new socialist governor with his new gun laws that he is pushing. Really makes me love Illinois all the more. Really like the new investigate your background through media accounts.
Here's one for you if you use medical marijuana or recreational marijuana you lose your Foid rights. A backdoor way to take away your 2nd Amendment rights.
Easy, fella! Just a few more weeks and this harsh winter will take a turn for the better...

.
Got a guy that wants to trade me a 72 Dart roller, not a sport, for my 99 3/4 ton extended cab 4x4 with a bad 5.9.
.
The deal fell thru. His wife? wanted me to rebuild the engine in my truck. I said you want my 99 3/4 ton 4x4 extended cab truck with a rebuilt motor for your $750 all in pieces car? Not today folks.

After letting it sit through the cold spell, thought I'd start it off to see if anything drained the battery dead. She popped right off, fully charged.

You know? This ole' girl is starting to grow on me.....

Is this where the chat is for the summer race . Are you building tow vehicles for if you breakdown
.
Time for a truck picture. My79, 440 powered motor home converted to car hauler mobile
As you can see it is in the barn. Needs me to put a couple of tires back on it and fix the tranny dipstick seal leak.

who put the 440 in it? Wasn't the last year for 440's & 400's '78 ??
.
.
I believe motorhomes use them clear up in the 80s like about 85 or 86. You will find that the engine itself is probably dated 78 on the side of the block. Chrysler ran a bunch of those frames out with Big Blocks on them and just keep using them for years.

Must be a new way to change oil.

I was unaware they did that. I only know '78 was the last year for building the 440...

More motorhome stuff

^ just so you know, Stev, coach manufacturers bought chassis in big lots and built coaches on them as requested. So an '81 with a 440 is not unknown. Even a class C, but this isn't necessarily a C. Many Champion Class A rv's came with 440s, like mine (mine's a Concord made by Champion).

Good info... I guess I've never really paid close attention to the RV's.

AND..... Would you quite jumping from this thread to the race thread???? I don't even know what thread I'm even posting in anymore.... Stuff about the same truck in both threads at the same time... LOL
(like it matters) :)

I'm trying to keep the truck and Ramcharger stuff in your truck thread.
And I'm trying to keep the race stuff in the race thread. LOL oh another thing I found interesting on the 440 source block info.

There is no such thing as a thin wall cast 440 block. As a matter of fact 75 through 79 is a heavier block then previous years.

My wife's 1st and only pass DRIVING through the 1/4 at Cordova was in a '76 New Yorker with a 440. Oh yeah, TQ, single exhaust, lower 17's..... LOL

I rechecked my truck I took the wiring harness from. It is an 86 not an 84. Sorry about that
Well, I'll tell my Dad he has '86 harness.... :D, 'cause I traded him for his '85. I still have your harness, it's an "highly modified 85" ... LOL

Well, remember that flat ?? I thought "I'll get set off of CL. Not paying 600+ for tires". Well, days turned into weeks. Then I got stubborn and said "they'll show up as soon as I buy new"... so I waited and today I bought them off CL. I WON!!!! Like new set, only 500 miles on them. I wanted 32x11.5 but these are LT 31x10.5. Oh well

Score,
You can find good deals if you are patient.

New Skins...…. :)
31x10.50 ….. 33x12.50 would have looked better, but it's the deal I came across. Sure is smooth on the road :)

Those look really small for 31-10.50
I ran them on my 85 and it filled the wheelwell up. I ran 33 -12.5 they looked great but they rubbed if I turned it really sharp in reverse. I guess where the front end squats some in reverse.
