Brake light update

I quickly replace my brake light switch just in case and as suggested before, to install it with 1 wire and follow through with a test light to the end of the light. I might have run into non functional bulbs w/ assembly ? Lmk what you guys think

Ok I have to ask.

You did test the bulbs to verify they work and are the correct bulb for the socket?

And you did test the fuse in the fuse block.

And you did download your cars Factory Service Manual

And you did trace out the brake light cir on the wiring diagram in the FSM to see where it is gets it's feed, and where it goes through switches etc.

And you did trace with your volt meter from the battery to the brake light bulb.

The reasion I'm asking this in this way is none of us are there with you. So we are relying on you to do the steps any of us would do if we were there.

It's troubleshooting 101.

Also.... It's best to not create a new post but to continue in the same one so everyone can can see what has happened to date.

I have no idea what you meant, here. You likely should have added to an original thread so we know what you are doing. Anyhow, these are SIMPLE

The switch, as it sits, in the air, should be closed, in other words "on." When installed, the pedal retracts and pushes the plunger down, which turns the switch OFF. (Open) The pink should have 12V AT ALL TIMES, and when activated, the switch feeds power via the white TO the turn signal switch. If the TS switch is centered, it routes power to both brake lamps. If the TS switch is set to turn one way or other, the TS switch routes power to the "non" turning lamp, and routes TS flasher power to the one turning.

No idea what you are working on, if it has the hazard switch built into the TS switch, make sure it is off, and wiggle it some to see if it makes a difference. IT IS COMMON for the hazard switch section to go bad, and cause a "no brake lights" problem

I’m doing mines step by step following through but just noticed this first as another pointer for possibly the lights not turning on
I’ll keep my posts within mb for not getting a memo beforehand Rlly new to the forums world

Also please reread your posts and edit accordingly before you hit "post reply" I'm having a hard time deciphering what you are saying.
