Running brake lines in my 74 scamp which has manual front discs from a 78 volare swapped in. Can’t quite recall what the line size between the master and proportioning valve was supposed to be, the inverted flares in the proportioning valve look like they should be 1/4”? Any help would be much appreciated

The lines out of the proportioning valve to the fronts and rear are definitely 3/16 but master to proportioning valve I wasn’t sure of

These fittings all use 3/16 tube with inverted flares, but have different sized threads. That's what you are seeing at your proportioning valve. Everything I've worked on has had 3/16 line everywhere.

All lines are 3/16" but as mentioned there will be different size fittings for the proportioning valve and sometimes the master cylinder. This is so the lines cant be put in the wrong hole.
