Can someone tell me if the frame mount for the front brake lines is in a different location for drum vs. disk ? What's different between the two, porportioning valve? My '69 Dart has front disk, but I don't know if it came that way. Car has 4 1/2 bolt pattern, so has altered at some point.

frame mount should be in the same or close to the same place. HOWEVER, because the disc set up has a wider track width, the rubber hoses are longer. As for the valve, the pressure requirements for the disc are greater than drum, therefore it throws the porportioning balance off. You need a disc/drum porportioning valve or it'll cause brake lock up.

If you're talking about the tab where the hard line and the rubber hose connect, it was the same for my '64. Not sure about the later cars, but I would guess its the same also, one less thing to worry about when assembling the cars at the factory.

Guys, thank you for replies. I have the info that I need for brake lines.
Thanks again!
