What does the bump mean on the sale threads?

A 'bump' typically comes from a seller with an optimistic price that wants to continue being optimistic at their price - when it did not sell at their price the first time.

Or in some cases, the second time.

Third time.

Etc., etc.

or in some cases, 2 or 3 years resulting in 5 or 6 pages of bumps

If the sale thread sees no activity in a certain amount of time the add will be locked by the MODs and the seller will have to write up a new add and pics . So , before that happens a seller can go to his add and write something , anything, which "bumps" the add for a new amount of time.and Bumping it back to the front of the list, so to speak
