My guess is that he could still out-shift most guys today! These young guys live in the world of automatic trans with automatic shifters lol. Ah the good old days you drive the cars, no buttons, no delay box, no reaction times......

Butch sat in the car and ran thru the gears a couple of times....then he did it so fast my eyes could not follow....you might say in a Flash. My jaw dropped.

Just 2 weekends ago while at the Summit Nationals at Norwalk, Butch was BSing with a current Hemi Super Stock / stick car owner about their problem with launch. Butch was attempting to tell him the importance of properly setting the clutch linkage..... but the owner was not interested and told him the car builder did that. I could not believe it.

I spoke to Butch today and we are still both shaking our heads.

I know that during the whole process of doing my car, every chance I get I use an older guy just for their expertise and knowing they care! Not one has let me down yet. Can only wonder if when all the guys who grew up with these cars, are gone.’, what happens to the hobby???

In other words he did not understand a thing Butch was saying. Kinda sad he's got a car he knows nothing about and won't admit it. And won't listen to an experienced pro when he had the chance.

Maybe he didn't know who he was talking to or he's just that much of a dumbass.
He gets what he deserves then.......
It's like if Ronnie Sox wanted to show someone how to shift and they disregarded it.
Play stupid games and win stupid prizes.......

with new leaf springs (Espo) and no fuel, the rear will likely settle slightly...hoping for 1/4" to 1/2"

Beautiful in the simplicity.

Very nice Denny, if Butch doesn't like it I'm sure that there are plenty among us who would take care of it for him. LOL

Alot of young folks learned to drive on PlayStation I was telling my 30 year old nephew about my 340 swinger, i said "you have to know how to drive one of these cars, alot of them were wrecked on turns people don't know how to slide around turns etc. the look on his face was "blank"
