    Hi guys,

I can't for the life of me remember how this went on. It's in my ziploc bag labeled "Cam". Maybe I should leave the kegerator alone while working on the car. :banghead:

fuel pump eccentric goes on cam gear...look for keyway on eccentric to fit keyway on cam..

bolt and washer go over pump eccentric..

make sure you have cam thrust plate behind cam gear ....

    loctite all bolts

Cam gear and key. Eccentric and bolt with a cupped washer. And as Tony mentioned you do have the thrust plate installed, correct?

Thanks 70aarcuda! I was thinking along those lines but the position of the keyway is what seems confusing. Should it protrude enough to catch?

Yeah, I was wondering why the key wasn't visible there. Does your gear just need to slide on a little more?

It's was the cam being about 1/8 of an inch too far in. Had an "Oh Der" moment when I figured out why.

For future reference if anyone else has this problem, the the cam will pull out and the key will fit into the slot when you tighten everything down.
