Here's a question that just popped up after reading something in another thread.
From what I've read both on FABO and various magazines and websites, it seems electronic FI seems to prefer cams with a wider lobe separation than generally used for carbs.
But the info on both the FITech and Holley websites describe their throttle body units as replacements for carbs.
So, do the TB units prefer cams with a wider lobe separation angle or would the engine even know the difference?
I'm planning to use a Holley Sniper FI unit and was also planning to use the cam that came with my 380-horse crate motor. It's got a 108-degree LSA,
OK for carb only? Or OK for TB FI?
