Hey guys, I just bought a Hughes 3500 stall for mg dart. Installed it and realized the weight is pushed up against the flex plate which is making the flex plate rub the back of the engine. It’s a 360 engine with a 727. My old converter didn’t have a weight on it and I just want to make sure I can remove the weight off the new converter. I know a 360 is externally balanced so I can’t remember if you need a balanced converter or not. Thanks!

You can have a neutral balanced converter as long as you run the correct flex plate. Correct me if I am wrong here guys.

Use the FP that TMM shows & take the weight off.

One or the other, but not both. Either run the convertor with wts. on a stock like flex plate with the clearance for the weights, or run the specific application solid/clipped external balance flex plate with no convertor wts.
