I'm ready to mount the grilles on my restored 1965 Barracuda, but I can't until I know where these two sheet metal parts mount. The bolt holes seem to match. Help!!!!!!

Ok maybe not ON the K member. but screwed into the frame rail between the front and back k member mounts

Yes, they bolt to the bottom of the frame rail, one each side and nestle around the "drag strut" (rod going from LCA to lower radiator support). Several different parts seem to be termed "splash shield". Others are the sheet-metal w/ rubber parts that bolt inside the wheel housing fwd and aft (new cars use plastic sheet). The ones shown are probably stop splash from the wheels getting into the engine bay. Yours look pretty good for SC. I bet they would be long rusted-away on a New England A-body.

Thanks for your help. Can I screw them right onto the frame rails without getting in to the suspension?

Good info. Thank You! Mine are pristine. Sounds like an easy bolt on.
