I live through chronic pain/joint stiffness every day of my life. I'm still working, but it's not easy. I have learned to pace myself like a lot of the other people who responded here.
On a side note, my mother died of lupus in the early '80's, i know what the disease can do to a person. That was before there was any treatments available. I wish your wife well. It is a very crippling diease. Cudos to you for sticking with her and the possible breast cancer issues with her. You have my deepest respect.
It's stuff like this that really seperates the men from the boys.
