Anyone know of a good car transportation company? What are typical costs? I also need to ship all my other possessions too lol.

I may (very likely) be moving to the Midwest and have a precious 69 dart to ship (2 if I can get Tony's friend to sell me his 68 before I leave lol).

I looked at the transport thread in the FS section, but no one really advertises. I know Google, but I trust yall better than the communists who run Google. :poke::rofl:

Have you used them before?

I've head of reliable a couple of times on various pages. They were pretty good with your car? I'm scared of shipping the dart, the other cars I don't care I'd they break or get scratched haha.

Reliable was a little slow. I had them transport my dart and a motorcycle. They left the day before me, and I passed them on lookout pass two days later. But that's better than a reckless driver! Cost was about $1k per car in an enclosed trailer.
If you're looking at shipping multiple cars, you can sometimes get a better rate by filling up the trailer. Most carry 4-6 cars, depending on the cars and the trailer. Best to call up the company for a custom quote vs online estimate tools, see what kind of deal you can make.

Hi there! I stumbled upon this post and thought I could offer some help. If you're looking to ship a car across the country and move all your other possessions, I can imagine it's quite the daunting task. When I moved from Ohio to Oregon, I used a Shippa and had a really good experience. They were reliable and transparent about pricing, which I appreciated. I think I paid around $1k, but prices can vary depending on where you're moving from and to. Just be sure to do your research on a shipping car across the country service before contacting. Read reviews and ask for recommendations. Good luck!

I used Reliable with good luck. However, I had to meet them since they cannot get a tractor trailer down residential streets usually.

I stumbled upon this thread and wanted to give my two cents. Shipping a car can be a bit daunting, but there are definitely reputable companies out there.
I know a company that is a great option for car shipping, and they also offer other services like household moving if you need to transport all of your possessions too. You can check out their website at https://www.a1autotransport.cоm/truck-shipping/.
As for typical costs, it really depends on the distance you need to ship your car and the type of transport you choose (open vs. enclosed trailer, for example). It's a good idea to get quotes from multiple companies to compare pricing and services.

if you are starting from scratch, this may be a place to start

Instant Quote Ship My Vehicle your one stop vehicle shipping company

i have never used them, but when i was looking at trucks last week, i came across someone on ebay who sold quite a few of them, and they recommended them

when i called a different seller and asked them for a quote, they were within 20 dollars from what these guys quoted

(then i found a truck local to me and bought that one instead, so that is where my experience ends)
