Number I got off it is 4966. Looks to be all there, could probably need a rebuild. It was on a 340 motor when I pulled it. Can be seen on top of this motor picture. $65 plus shipping obo

yes it is a 71 440 auto, that's what was weird about it why it was on this 340 motor i pulled.

4spd has first dibs if it is avs, i will check this weekend and let you know more. but the motor hasn't run in three years so i am assuming it needs a rebuild. I will let 4spd know this weekend and then rumblefish if you want next I will pm u upon a decline from 4spd

I think its a 625 cfm carb off the low performance 71 440, if the primary's are smaller (like 1 7/16" ) than the secondarys 1 11/16". Good carb for the asking $$$ with the electric choke conversion to boot .

You may have a very good point there Edelman. I might have been wrong in saying it is a 750, it could be the smaller AVS.

If it is the smaller AVS, I'll have to decline then.

I have a list #4966 in the garage and it is the small one. It's still a very good carb. Just 625 cfm.

That list is kinda screwy. It says both 630 and 750 cfm after 4966. Here's a picture of the bottom of my 4966. As you can see it has smaller primaries than secondaries.

Either way it's a good deal.
