So I've been working on my 1968 4 door, and I keep looking at these cracks thinking, man it cant be all that good for water to sit down in there. (I've blown out with air compressor after washing)
I'm wondering if I should just smudge some new stuff on or what an easy way would be to get rid of this problem, thanks.
Also going to attempt to adjust my back doors to not hit.

I'm no body man BUT...

I think you already have problems, looks like rust trail to me and I suspect the rust under there is lifting the caulk

BUT again I'm no body man and I hope I'm wrong.

The factory used to lead that joint on old stuff. Then they moved to seam sealer. Don’t caulk or silicone it. The right fix is to remove what’s there, fix the rust and then apply seam sealer again.

I'd just use a decent quality seam sealer and something small to apply it in the crack. Then touch it up. It's not a repair that's going to last forever but a last forever repair might not be worth it for you.

I know there's a right way and a wrong way to do things but I certainly wouldn't spend a dozen hours and the $1k+ to work all that sealer out of there, reseal, prep it and pay someone to paint it. Especially on a 4 door.

I would scrape it out. Clean the rust , Epoxy prime and re-caulk. Rust never stops and there is rust under there for sure.
